This afternoon I added another title to my collection, one that I have wanted for so long since I had bought my PSP.
Before posting this entry I tried one full game, playing the San Antonio Spurs against the Cleveland Cavaliers. So far I’m satisfied with what I see, not like the previous version which made me hold on to my money and wait for the next version because of the choppy graphics.
Now I have one more reason to stay up late at night.
Pardon the post, it’s fun to relive memories of my childhood. I used to spend the weekend playing until midnight trying to find out how to complete the game. Eventually I did, but not as fast as this one:
In my previous post, the picture I took of my PSP with the Alumor case on might have given away my choice as to which game I would add to my collection.
Yes, it’s Tekken Dark Resurrection.
Now why did I chose a fighting game? Let me give several reasons:
I’ve had it with the crystal case of my PSP. It turns out that a crystal case could protect the PSP from knocks, but it can contribute to the scratch that your PSP would get. This happens once dirt or a grain of any hard particle gets trapped in between the PSP and the inside of the crystal case.
I’ve thought of getting a hard case that has an insert made of any soft material, but the ones available would require you to open it to be able to play with the PSP. Fortunately I read about this from PinoyPSP:
I wanted to buy a new game for our PSP, but still up to now I haven’t decided which of these should I get.
Do I get the comedy-filled platform game Daxter? Or do I go for the more serious, covert ops-type Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops? Or maybe I’m better off with the fighting game Tekken: Dark Resurrection that I could play against others?
Every one of these games got a high rating from all review sites, mind you.
Having shunned these type of games for a long time (having been attached to too many sports-genre games), I’m in for a really tough decision.
The complexity of the learning curve and the replayability of the game bears more weight for me right now, as these games all have great sound and graphics.
