Which PSP Game To Buy?

I wanted to buy a new game for our PSP, but still up to now I haven’t decided which of these should I get.

Do I get the comedy-filled platform game Daxter? Or do I go for the more serious, covert ops-type Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops? Or maybe I’m better off with the fighting game Tekken: Dark Resurrection that I could play against others?

Every one of these games got a high rating from all review sites, mind you.

Having shunned these type of games for a long time (having been attached to too many sports-genre games), I’m in for a really tough decision.

The complexity of the learning curve and the replayability of the game bears more weight for me right now, as these games all have great sound and graphics.

It’s been five days since I installed it on my machine.

So far, so good…

I have yet to explore every nook and cranny to give a full-blown review, but as far as the user experience is concerned, this is one step up from Edgy Eft.

I’ve been waiting since this morning on the Ubuntu webpage for the official announcement — that the final release for the latest Ubuntu Linux is available for download. It’s past 10 o’clock in the evening here in Manila when I saw that the ISO images, as well as the repositories for those who want to do an apt-get dist-upgrade, are all ready.

At the moment I’m downloading the ISO image from the Japan mirror site, so that I can send copies of the CD to friends who wanted to try Ubuntu on their machines as well. A lot of other people may have been downloading as well, I’m getting an average of 24K/s download speed, very far from my usual 80+K/s.

A lot of good things have been included in this release, as noted in their release notes.

You can get Feisty Fawn by visiting the Ubuntu website. The site isn’t in its usual layout at the time I’m writing this post, as what’s being displayed right now is a list of mirrors where you can download the latest release.

Go ahead, download it and try it!

I’ll be posting my thoughts about it once I get it installed.

This may sound outrageous at first, but if you already knew that a full length movie was created using several Sony Ericsson W900 mobile phones, something like this would sure follow:

Finally I got the guts to post pictures taken from my K800i mobile phone to a blog. This is not just an ordinary take-the-picture-transfer-it-to-the-PC-then-upload-to-a-blog kind of affair, but one that was done automatically from the phone itself.

I did it simply by hitting the softkey labeled “Send”, and then selecting the option “To blog”. After connecting to the internet (my phone used its 3G capabilities at that time) and sending the picture, a message was sent to my phone informing me of the name of the blog that was automatically created and the claim token associated with it. It turned out that the reminder message is being sent to the phone everytime a post is made, until the owner enters the claim code in the main Blogger website.

This is how the blog looked like after I claimed it and did some customization from the themes:

The blogging service is free. However, for every 30 minutes that I connect to the internet, a Php10 charge is deducted from my phone credit (I’m using SMART as my phone’s service provider). I find it quite cheap, considering that you can take several pictures and then upload them within the 30-minute span. Each picture takes at most 15 seconds to send.

The moblog can be found here.
